Engstrom's book CDG/JHE that I'm particularly enjoying.  You can see more images from the series and read a little about it here.  The washed out appearance of the pictures seem to me to make a direct appeal to memory and the subconscious and the series as a whole has grabbed my attention in a gut-punching fashion.
